What I don’t repair anymore
I have to keep my repair target group small.
The reason for this is that I’d otherwise be overwhelmed with too-new (read: not really vintage) and other, sometimes even insane, repairs.
I also realize that I have to enjoy repairing and therefore want to do enjoyable repairs. It has to remain a hobby, but one that uses professional work methods.
As of today (May 2025), I will no longer repair the following devices:
- All Apple devices, both desktop and portable.
- All HiFi equipment of any make/design.
- All Radios.
- All non-professional keyboards.
- All DIY equipment.
- All mass production foot/effect pedals from after 2000,
As Tim passes the list will probably become even longer.
Of course, agreements made and repairs carried out in the past are not affected and the agreed warranty remains intact.
