Q. Why are you doing this?
A. Because there might be an American defect in these amplifiers.

A. Because we love our customers.

Q. I have never noticed a problem, why would there suddenly be one now?
A. Because there is a form of wear going on in other components than just the tubes, which can be truly life-threatening.

Q. Okay, but what are you going to check?
A. Everything on the power cord side of your amplifier, and while I’m at it, I’ll also check your power tubes.

Q. Oh, so you want to sell tubes?
A. No, those things are incredibly expensive, and I have no desire to unnecessarily burden the guitarist with costs.

Q. Why are you checking the tubes then?
A. So that you, as a musician, know what potential costs are coming up.

Q. So selling after all!
A. No, I do not sell. You get an honest and independent advice from me about your vintage amp. You do with that what you want. Do you want me to solve the problems? Fine. You will receive a reasonable cost estimate, we discuss it and schedule it. Do you want to go to your own repairer? Fine, take the advice with you and have what needs to be done repaired.
